I really like this lovely hunting horn candle holder -- unfortunately, it arrived broken (the end piece came off one of the horns. BUT I like it so much, I'm going to keep it and try to glue it (fingers crossed). Will look great on my new console table.

I live what I sell

I have always loved vintage and have been an avid thrift store and yard sale shopper most of my life. I still have my first yard sale purchase that I made at 12 years old. I won't say how long ago that was, but it has been a while.

I thrive on the thrill of the hunt! Nothing makes me happier than to find that special item, clean it up, and put it to good use. I also love to repurpose and recycle items. Vintage tablecloths into window treatments, bird cages into light fixtures, an old garden gate on the wall as a place to pin family photos. My home is filled with these treasures. The only thing in my home that I have purchased new is the sofa! Even the kitties are found treasures!

In 2011 someone told me about Etsy. I was full to the rafters with my collections, and things I was saving for future projects. I thought why not give it a try? And it has been the most fun I have ever had! It brings me joy to be able to share my finds with the Etsy community, and I have met some pretty terrific people along the way.

Why isn't all your shipping free?

We all know shipping is never truly free. In order to offer free shipping on all items, an inflated coast to coast shipping charge is simply added to the cost of the item. At OldRedHenVintage I believe you should only pay the actual shipping cost from my house to yours, not the coast to coast cost.

Do you combine shipping on multiple orders?

Yes. I combine shipping whenever possible to save you money. I will refund any shipping overages once the items ship unless we make other arrangements.

When will my item ship?

Items usually ship 1-3 days after purchase. I send all items USPS and the arrival time depends on which shipping method you choose. Please remember, USPS ship times are just estimates.

Do you use eco-friendly packaging?

Yes, I often use recycled paper, boxes, air cushions, and new boxes made of recycled materials for shipping. The recycled boxes I use may have other logos or brands on them. I encourage you to recycle your item's packing materials.
